Abstract

Challenges about testing optical performance of new generation high rate multi-lane and multi-rate optical transceivers for 100G/400G/800G/1600G are discussed and results obtained with these new measurement techniques are presented. Advanced optical test beds and proper test methodology are illustrated, and simulation results are provided as precursors of measurement data.
