Abstract

This paper presents a new mathematical multi-objective formulation for the allocation of users in base stations of the evolved packet system architecture, with 5G applications that use software-defined networking. The model minimizes (i) communication cost between base stations and data centers; (ii) handover occurrences; (iii) the communication cost between users and base stations subject to user's bandwidth requirements.
