Abstract

In this work, voltage regulation of the DC-DC Boost converter has been discussed. It is observed that boost converter shows non-minimum phase behavior when it is operated in continuous conduction mode of operation (CCM). Therefore, the proper voltage regulation in CCM mode has been done using modified IMC controller and then compared with control algorithms like PID control technique, IMC controller. To study the performance of these control methods, these are implemented in Matlab/ Simulink environment. The simulation results witness that the modified IMC controller is giving the better output voltage regulation compared with the conventional PID controller and IMC controller.
