Abstract

In this paper, an experimental performance evaluation of a variable speed DC compressor in vapor compression based refrigerator using R290 as refrigerant is carried out. It is powered by solar photovoltaic. R290 is a fourth-generation refrigerant. It has excellent thermodynamic properties, environmental characteristics, and low cost.
