Abstract

The paper deals with compared performances of a direct- and an indirect controlled [3×5] matrix converter (MxC) supplying 5-phase IM, and, mainly, with the experimentation of indirect controlled [3×5] matrix converter supplying 5-phase resistive-inductive load. The output phases of the converter load are connected in star-, pentagon- and pentacle configuration similar to IM phase windings.
