IT TAKES A COMMUNITY

Abstract

Column Editor’s Note. As community college libraries are deeply underrepresented in the professional literature and organizations of academic librarianship, the unique challenges facing these libraries, their notable accomplishments, and their potential contributions to the field go largely unnoticed. This column, which will appear in odd-numbered issues of the journal, seeks to remedy that circumstance by lifting the curtain to address topics, projects, and narratives that reveal the true value of community college libraries to their students, their communities, and to the field of librarianship. Interested authors are invited to submit articles for this column to the editor at kimleeder@cwidaho.cc.
