Energy Audit at LBS College of Engineering Kasaragod

Abstract

Energy is vital for all living beings on earth. As the conventional sources of energy in this world are limited, efficient and effective use of energy is of great importance. Worldwide energy consumption is growing at a faster rate due to robust economic growth and expanding population in world's developing countries. Energy audit is a part of energy conservation and management. Electricity end use processes in India are very inefficient in comparison with those of some advanced countries. Therefore, there is ample scope for improving efficiency in production, handling, distribution and utilization of energy in this country. This paper deals with the technique of energy conservation and management using energy audit at LBS College of Engineering Kasaragod, Kerala campus.
