Abstract
. The present work proposes the extension of the computational methodology known as IMERSPEC, resulting from the fusion of the Pseudospectral Fourier method and the Immersed Boundary method, to carry out numerical simulations of flows over airfoils. The effectiveness of the solution of the Navier-Stokes equations was analyzed, based on a comparison with literature data. The obtained results were able to satisfactorily reproduce the reference drag and lift coefficients. In this work, the results obtained were analyzed along with other publications.
