Abstract

With the improvement of people's life quality, people require the higher level of the electric power communication than before. The electric power communication is the key to the safety of power grid and electric power security support. At the same time, the rapid development of power industry puts forward higher requirements on electric power communication system. Optical fiber communication technology with low weight, large capacity, low dissipation, strong anti-interference ability, especially the optical WDM optical fiber communication and optical switching function, meets the requirement of the development of digitization, and also makes electric power integrated communication ability improved. Therefore, optical fiber communication technology is widely used in electric power communication, but with the development of the society, we should strengthen the development and study of optical fiber communication technology continuously. The paper mainly explores the application and influence of optical fiber communication technology in electric power communication.
