Abstract
The objectives of this research were 1) To design and develop Efficiency Measurement Kit for Energy Saving Split-Type Air conditioner by using Arduino Microcontroller; 2) to study the steps of testing and measuring the efficiency of split-type air conditioner; and 3) to develop the program for testing the efficiency of split-type air conditioner. Design and Development of Arduino MicroController Split-type Air conditioner was created to evaluate the performance of a split- type air conditioner. Data of electric current, electric voltage, temperature and humidity (supply air and return air), and wind speed were collected and sent to Microcontroller Board Arduino UNO R3 in order to generate data. Then, the data were transferred to a computer via LabVIEW Program to find the Coefficient of Performance (COP), and Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of the air conditioner. Graphic display and data were real time. According to Standard TIS. 1155–2536 and TIS. 2134–2545, No. 5 levels Energy Performance Standard was determined. According to the experiment, it was found that To find the efficiency of split-type air conditioners with dirt and without dirt, EER and COP were calculated. LABVIEW Program was used to analyze and adjust the results. The error of the measurement kit was 1.02%.When the air conditioner was set at $24^{\mathrm {o}}\text{C}$, EER was 11.53 Btu/hr.w., or 99.39%. It showed that the efficiency of the air conditioners was very good. Referring to satisfaction survey by experts and sample group, the satisfaction level was high. The average was 4.48
