This paper presents the analysis, modeling and design of ZVS-QR Boost converter with M-type switch. The equations describing converter operation are derived. Abstract

Zero-Voltage-Switching Quasi-Resonant Boost Converter (ZVS-QR boost converter) is a DC-DC boost converter that uses a resonant circuit for the purpose of achieving zero-voltage switching (ZVS) of the main switch, which reduces switching losses and enhanced overall efficiency. The ZVS-QR Boost converter with M-type switch topology utilizes a single switch and minimal auxiliary components, such as an inductor and a capacitor, which contributes to its simplicity, cost-effectiveness, high power density, high efficiency, and low electromagnetic interference (EMI).
