Abstract

In this study, Shinnar-Le Roux algorithm is used for designing the radio frequency pulses in MRI in order to reduce the nonlinearity effect of the Bloch equation. Some MRI experiments are conducted to show the effectiveness of Shinnar-Le Roux algorithm by comparing the difference between SLR pulsed slice profile and SINC pulsed slice profile. The experimental results indicates that the slice profile of SLR pulse has smaller ripples and is more uniform than SINC pulse. By reducing the interference of slices, the SLR pulse can improve the imaging quality to a great extent.
