Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas e sua adaptação à HQ (possíveis) implicações para os jovens leitores

Abstract

This article aims to study the adaptation of Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas into História em Quadrinhos, whose objective is to analyze the (possible) implications of this adaptation for young readers, starting from the assumption that literature is art laden with elements socio-historical-cultural. This is a comparative and interpretative study developed from the analysis of convergent and divergent points between the Brazilian literary work adapted to the comic book genre by Escala Educacional and the original work. The results point to some changes in the essence of the original work that make it impossible for the young reader to appropriate the mentioned elements.
