Abstract

We demonstrated transmission of 160-Gbit/s OTDM signals comprising eight 20-Gbit/s 2-bit/symbol ASK-DPSK tributary channels over 200 km of installed fiber to investigate the effect of bandwidth compression on transmission impairment due to polarization mode dispersion.
