First, a design of experiment, linking the parameters of the studied process with the desired output parameters representing the requirements of the dimensional quality of the product and the consumption of the resulting energy, was established, executed, and analyzed. Second, a model of this process will be developed using artificial neural networks. Finally, a control system will be developed in the Matlab-Simulink environment allowing the control of energy consumption according to the quality requested. Abstract

This article presents a research study aimed at the development of a control system of the energy consumed during the production of polypropylene product with quality requirements on the injection molding process. First, a design of experiment, linking the parameters of the studied process with the desired output parameters representing the requirements of the dimensional quality of the product and the consumption of the resulting energy, was established, executed, and analyzed. Second, a model of this process will be developed using artificial neural networks.
