Abstract

Due to the requirement of synchronism of the whole grid, frequency regulation has become one of the essential challenges for power system stability and security. This method proposes the frequency regulation of island power systems with voltage-dependent loads. The improvement in stability can be achieved through rapid temporary increase of generator excitation. In this method, the IEEE type 1 exciter is employed.
