The proposed wireless neural monitoring system employs a microwave back-scattering method and eliminates the need for additional power sources. The Antipodal shaped antenna with optimized design provides two different bands with transmission at 4.4 GHz and reception at 2.2 GHz. Measured and simulated return loss results of the antenna shows a good agreement with each other.
