Abstract

How could we not be discouraged when, as soon as we proposed the Appreciative Inquiry approach, we faced a wall of resistance that created pressure to fall back on a more traditional problem-solving approach familiar to all? How could we give our clients the confidence to dare to go in search of dreams to improve efficiency and the work climate on construction sites? Small-scale experimentation, patience and generous listening and mutual respect made all the difference in the story.
