Abstract
SYNOPSIS As foresters we should keep in mind that there are impeding forces to the implementation of the scientific forest knowledge we generate and the forest skills we develop. Some of these impeding forces are the legal, institutional, policy and socio-economic shortcomings hindering sustainable forest management.
