Abstract

This paper presents a new probabilistic approach to the planning of high-voltage distribution grids, which aims to use the existing grid structure and the renewable energies sources (RES) in the best possible way and to carry out the required grid expansion in a directed manner. For this purpose, the developed planning method based on the (n-1)-criterion determines the line loading indicators, which, in addition to line overloadings in the contingency analysis, take into account the transmission losses and the average line loading in the normal state.
