Abstract
Examining the interaction of M. hominis, M. fermentans, and M. arthritidis with peritoneal macrophages of various strain mice has demonstrated that the interaction is related both to the mycoplasma and macrophage types. It has been found that M. arthritidis may multiply and persist for a long time in the macrophages, which is followed by morphological changes developed in the latter and by suppression of phagocytic activity.
