Dostoevsky's Articles about Nekrasov as a Development of the Theme of the Poetic Immortality

Abstract

The article describes one of the aspects of the theme "Dostoevsky and Antiquity" – the development of the theme of poetic immortality. The research material is a series of articles devoted to Nekrasov from the "Diary of a Writer" for 1877. The article concludes that Dostoevsky takes into account the experience of the development of the theme of poetic immortality, most clearly defined in the poems of Horace, in Russian poetry. According to the writer, the rationale for the right of Nekrasov to the immortality of his name is the nationality of his work.
