Abstract
This article is part of the project R&D COPEL/ANEEL entitled Increase of Transmission Capacity of Wire Cables: New techniques of project with high drifts. This project includes the study of the behavior of conductor cables when pulled with traction levels that exceed the usual criteria. However, problems with wind vibrations are amplified through the conductor cables as the tension is high. These vibrations cause damage due to flex fatigue and abrasion in cable suspension points, which can cause interruption of power transmission. For this, it was designed vibration absorbers such as Stockbridge damper, one of the most used and focus of several studies. Some of these studies rely on vibration tests that allow getting curves that show the dynamic behavior of the shock absorber in the frequency domain, as well as vibrational parameters for example natural frequencies. Therefore, this paper proposed to analyze experimentally the dynamic behavior of dampers type Stockbridge.
