Abstract

In this manuscript an extended mathematical model of a three-phase actively-clamped resonant dc link inverter is shown. The control approach based on usage of the analog sigma-delta modulator with prediction of resonant dc link current is explained in detail. The inverter operation under resistive, inductive and capacitive load is examined by simulations. It is shown that inverter can work with all types of loads under zero-voltage switching circumstances even when having resonant-current reversals and with low modulation index.
