We formulate the determination of IM schemes as an optimization problem for maximizing the overall data rate, which is solved by the D.C. (difference of two convex functions) program. Numerical results show the significant performance enhancement compared with the fixed IM schemes. Abstract

For co-channel deployed massive multiple input multiple output (mMIMO) heterogeneous networks (HetNet), serious performance degradation will be caused by various types of interferences, such as the inter-tier and intra-tier interferences.
