Abstract

Visible Light Communication (VLC) is promising candidate for replacing the traditional sources. The VLC is capable of providing communication and illumination concurrently. Besides, based on the flexibility in changing the design from users, embedded system using SoC on FPGA kit is becoming more popular and developed. In this paper, a SoC system is designed to read data from SD card and transfer to computer based on visible light communication technology. Manchester encoder is chosen as a VLC modulation method. Experimental mesurments of the prototype shows that the system is stable at resonable baud rate speed and distance in the commercially available white LED sources.
