Abstract

Context: Code Smells indicate potential problems in the making of software projects. If considered harmful, they must be removed from the source code. Thus, it is important to enable developers to spot the source code artifacts that have been affected by Smells. Problem: however, there is a lack of adequate approaches to make the identification of Code Smells easier while providing details about their occurrences. Goals: in order to help developers to identify Code Smells, we have developed VISMELLS, an interactive visualization.
