The obtained results show fast convergence and less steady state error. Moreover, the learning rate of the PNLMS algorithm can be easily tuned for a stable SPV system. Abstract

In this paper, a proportionate normalized least mean square (PNLMS) based control algorithm with modified hill climbing MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technique is used to control the switching of a voltage source converter (VSC), in a grid tied solar photovoltaic (PV) system.
