This paper has presented the design and development procedures of a BDEM using an `ATmega8 Microcontroller.' Abstract

At present times, the Electricity Company supplies LCD-type Electrical Energy Meters (LCDEM), and mount them on the outdoor panels. The users cannot time-to-time monitor the consumed energy units to asses that the consumption is exceeding their budget, and they should be aware to shut off the unnecessary loads.
