Abstract

The thermal aging of insulating paper in composition of paper-impregnated insulation was investigated. The mechanical properties of the paper before and after aging, as well as other parameters were measured, in particular, the tangent of dielectric loss angle and the relative light transmission transformer oil. The sorption capacity of some pulp and dielectrics was evaluated. The significant dependence of the type of cellulose paper on change of parameters of paper-impregnated insulation at aging was revealed.
