Abstract

Access to computer technology is of vital importance to people with disabilities. Eyes can be regarded as one of the organs that can help a paralyzed person to communicate suitably. This paper provides a novel idea to control home appliances for disabled people who cannot move anything except their eyes by controlling the computer mouse cursor through their eye movement. The proposed method here uses an eye tracking method for eye movement acquisition, further following a simple circuitry. This system is very helpful for solving the HMI problems of the disabled.
