Peran Pekerja Sosial dalam Penerapan Therapeutic Community

Abstract

Kasus penyalahgunaan NAPZA menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang cukup besar dan sering terjadi di Indonesia. Tidak hanya di kota-kota besar, penyalahgunaan NAPZA sudah memasuki seluruh pelosok negeri dan menyebabkan perubahan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakatnya, sehingga masalah penyalahgunaan NAPZA menjadi masalah multidimensional. Oleh karena itu, dalam penyelesaiannya memerlukan sinergitas antarelemen dalam masyarakat termasuk pekerja sosial. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran pekerja sosial dalam bidang rehabilitasi, khususnya melalui theurapetic community sebagai salah satu langkah untuk menyembuhkan dan memulihkan keberfungsian sosial korban penyalahgunaan NAPZA. Artikel ini ditulis dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif analisis yang bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai pokok permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan peran pekerja sosial dalam melakukan theurapetic community. Hasilnya, pekerja sosial khususnya dalam penerapan theurapetic community dapat berperan sebagai sebagai pendamping, pengawas, dan fasilitator dalam melakukan pendekatan terapi psikososial yang berlandaskan prinsip self-help group dengan cara memberikan kepedulian dan bantuan kepada sesama rekan dalam grup untuk kepulihan bersama dan merubah perilaku negatif menjadi kearah yang lebih positif.  Substance abuse become one of the big problems in Indonesia. Not only in big cities, substance abuse has entered all corners of the country and caused changes in various aspects of people's lives, so that the problem of substance abuse becomes a multidimensional problem. Therefore, in its settlement requires synergy between the interelments in the community including social workers. This article aims to describe the role of social workers in the field of rehabilitation, especially through theurapetic community as one of the steps to heal and restore the social functioning of victims. This article is written with qualitative approach and descriptive method of analitative that aims to give an overview of the main problems related to the role of social workers in conducting theurapetic community. As a result, social workers, especially in the application of theurapetic community can act as a companion, supervisor, and facilitator in conducting psychosocial therapy approach based on the principle of self-help group by providing care and assistance to fellow colleagues in the group for mutual health and change negative behavior into a more positive behavior.
