Abstract

This paper present a method to calculate the d-and q-axis inductances of parallel hybrid excitation machine which takes the influence of electric excitation path and the field current into consideration. The armature inductances are the summation of inductances corresponding to the rotor magnetic path and the electric excitation path. The electric excitation path is highly effected by saturation, the nonlinear of the inductances are much more notable than conventional PM machine. On the other hand, the field current not only affects the saturation of the electric excitation path, but the main magnetic path. The analysis results will guide the HEM design and the performance prediction.
