The article was elaborated in order to answer the fol-lowing main questions: To what extent has the EAD mode influenced the offer and enrollment numbers in higher education? Have graduates of courses of this modality been awarded approval in public examinations of tests and degrees? If yes, in what measures? Therefore, in addition to the theoretical references and official docu-ments related to the theme, the performance of 30 approved in each of the last two competitions held in the city of Paranaguá, the oldest municipality in the state of Pa-raná, was studied. of primary education, one homologated in 2010 and the other homologated in 2018.
