It examines for long-range communication performance in a large area. This study contemplates the prospect of implementing services of the \"Smart City\" concept. An increase in population and the corresponding growth of numerous roads have extended the number of street lights. These street lights consume a sufficient amount of energy. However, different perspectives have been presented for making systems energy efficient. Abstract

In today’s generation, the Internet of things introduces a new set of services that can be implemented on the mobile network operator and offered to the end-user. In a local and wide area network, Wi-Fi or cellular communication is used but it consumes more battery power. Therefore, Long Range (LoRa), an emerging wireless technology developed by Semtech, has gained a lot of attention with the multitude of IoT applications which uses very little power, making it ideal for battery-operated devices.
