Abstract

A distributed antenna system (DAS) is used in large buildings, tunnels to provide cellular network coverage for indoor users. Currently popular analogue radio over fiber systems are tending to lose popularity against digitally operating systems. In this paper analogue and digital solutions are analyzed and compared in terms of achievable signal quality. Later a digital DAS solution is presented based on a high speed signal processing platform which may serve as a multi-band digital repeater system.
