Abstract

Since the introduction of fiber to the home (FTTH) services based on 1Gbps passive optical network (PON), the demand for higher speed PON has been increasing due to huge demand for broadband services. 10 Gbps PON has been launched and 40 Gbps PON2 has been standardized to meet this demand.
