Merwin, Christina Rossetti, Evie Shockley, Sufjan Stevens, and W. B. Yeats, the chapter argues that only poetry can capture the magical, incantatory, and holy spirit of the Annunciation, Advent, Christmas trees, Christmas Eve, Epiphany, and Christmas Day.
