The sample of the study consisted of 319 students selected by simple random method, studying in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades of an Anatolian High School in Antalya. The research was designed as a descriptive survey, one of the quantitative research models, and the 'Social Media Attitude Scale' consisting of 23 items developed by Otrar and Argın (2015) was used as a measurement tool. Adolescents' social media usage purposes were evaluated according to the variables of gender, class level, family income, family education and family working status, time spent on social media, and the number of friends they made in social media. Abstract

Worsening mental health among high school students during the pandemic has been a serious health problem worldwide.
