The Evaluation of Turkish Republics in The 4th Grade Social Studies Textbook

Abstract

The main objective of this research, which has been carried out, is to examine the 4th grade program in the 2018 Social Studies Curriculum, which was created by taking into account the scientific, technological, pedagogical and educational advances in the global world, and the treatment of the Turkic Republics in the textbook prepared within this program. is to evaluate. In this research, document analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. According to the findings obtained as a result of the research carried out: 2018 Social Studies Curriculum 4th grade level includes an achievement about the Turkic Republics, and eight pages are included in the textbook. The information presented on the subject has been tried to be concretized with maps, visuals and sample news. As a result of the research, it has been concluded that the subject of Turkish Republics is not given enough place in the textbook and in the learning outcomes.
