Abstract

This paper presents a simulation of a hybrid AC-DC microgrid on the MATLAB/Simulink platform. Each side of the microgrid has one PV generator, while the dc side has a BESS connected. Simulations are done for islanded and grid-supported modes of the microgrid, and the importance of BESS in providing stable voltage in an islanded microgrid is highlighted.
