Navigating Through the Healthy People 2020 Process

Abstract

School Nurses have much to contribute about health improvement for future adults. By working with America's 50 million school-age children from birth to 21 in every type of school setting, School Nurses know firsthand that by implementing specific health-related policies and interventions for children, the nation's overall health status will improve. Therefore, NASN is committed to participating in the long-term planning of HP 2020. On a daily basis, School Nurses are working on "population health improvement." When children are guided toward making healthy decisions, HP goals for adults will be more readily achieved. Language: en
