Abstract

The CMAP filter which is based on the statistic characteristics of SAR (synthetic aperture radar) image and the filter which is based on the wavelet transform show different performance in the application of SAR image denoising. The CMAP filter can reduce the influence of the speckle better, but the detail of the image is lost greatly. Wavelet transform can keep the detail of the image well, but the effect of reducing the speckle is not good. In this paper, we fuse the two results of these two filter methods according to a certain fusion rule. The experimental result shows that this method can reduce the influence of the speckle and maintain the image detail well.
