Abstract

A combination of Random Auxiliary Sources (RAS) and Method of Moments (MoM) is presented to solve the electromagnetic (EM) scattering problems from 2-D PEC structures, including the challenging geometries with sharp corners. The proposed technique is developed to overcome the corner limitation of the RAS method while maintaining its speed. In addition to the typical random set of distributed infinitesimal sources within the scatterer boundary based on the RAS method, the proposed technique incorporates surface currents at critical regions to capture the fast variations of the due to edge conditions.
