The results show that the RCCF flexure hinges are more compliant than right-circular hinge and as precise as it in rotation. Abstract

A novel single-axis flexure hinge named right-circular corner-filleted (RCCF) flexure hinge, which is composed of half a right circular one and half a corner-filleted one, is presented. The flexibility expression, maximum stress and rotation precision of RCCF flexure hinge is provided, and validated by finite element method.
