Abstract

Pumped storage power station (PSPS) as classical renewable and clean energy are facing various problems such as ubiquitous terminal access, diversified service carrying and differentiated security isolation, because of the increasing complexity and uncertainty of communication service types and demands. The high integration of energy and information technology is significant to the efficient utilization of energy. 5G enabling key technologies can be integrated to PSPS network to solve the existing problems including information island, incomplete coverage and lack of interaction. In this paper, we have investigated and surveyed 5G network architecture and security architecture in PSPS. Finally, the emerging 5G application scenarios of PSPS have been discussed.
