Abstract
A further species of the Cretaceous wasp family Falsiformicidae (Chrysidoidea) is described and figured from a male preserved in Upper Cretaceous (Turonian) amber from New Jersey. This represents the first occurrence of the lineage in the Western Hemisphere as well as the most recent
taxon, with all others dating from the Cenomanian or earlier deposits. Neophenax orcus gen. and sp. n. is compared with Falsiformica cretacea Rasnitsyn from Upper Cenomanian Siberian (Agapa) amber, which is currently the formally described falsiformicid with which the species
shares most similarities.
将Neophenax orcus gen. and sp. n.
