Abstract

Modern learning approaches consider attaining self-regulation (Self-Regulated Learning). Clever curriculum design can foster maximum learning effect for the students. An example is Peer Instruction, especially the ConcepTest and Peer Discussion phases therein. IT can support such approaches with modern Web-based solutions such as Audience Response Systems. In this position paper we discuss utilisation of Audience Response Systems during the different phases of Peer Instruction to foster Self-Regulated Learning.
