Abstract
An analytical procedure for computing the inductances of an induction machine in presence of dynamic eccentricity fault is presented. The proposed method is based on the modified winding function approach and takes into consideration harmonics in the winding and the inverse air-gap functions. Results obtained by the analytical method are compared to these calculated by finite elements (FE) method and satisfactory match was found between them. Also, the developed equations allow a considerable saving of computing time compared to the finite element method, in particular when they are considered in the dynamic simulation of the induction machine.
