Abstract

There have been numerous authors who have reflected on the impact, mainly economic, of the crisis that has struck various sectors of society since the end of the last decade. The newspaper industry has not been an exception and continues to show alarming data, both at an international level and in the Spanish media landscape. The main objective of this article is to carry out a comparative analysis of the studies that have researched the impact of the crisis in the media industry, with a special emphasis on the Spanish case. From there, an analysis of threats and opportunities in the current media landscape profession has been carried out.
